We are a small privately owned 20-bed care home. We pride ourselves on superior service and quality care that is affordable. Both Vicky and Darren have vast experience in acute and medical nursing. We endeavour to provide a high level of nursing care on-site so the need to transfer is reduced significantly.
DARREN
Originally from Masterton, New Zealand, my career in the health sector began at the age of seventeen. I studied and completed my nursing degree at the Manawatu Polytechnic and have since gained years of experience through a variety of roles including nurse aide, enrolled nurse and registered nurse. My scope of experience includes work within the Emergency Department, Infection Control, Wound Care, Acute Surgical, Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit, and Department of Corrections.
Outside of work, I am a family man who enjoys motorsports, fishing and travelling the country in our motorhome to visit the many sights New Zealand has to offer.
VICKY
My nursing career started when I was seventeen and I currently have over 20 years experience as a practice nurse. Also having gained my nursing degree at Manawatu Polytechnic, my experience has come through a variety of roles in Riverton and Kew Hospital.
Having grown up in the Otapiri Gorge with my parents and three sisters, I also enjoy and value time with our family, aiming to support our children in all their pursuits.
My personal interests include netball, marching, ballet and travel.
